One True Passion

Fishing the rivers of the Sacramento Valley is a privilege that owner Jon Coots does not take lightly.  Having been born and raised locally, Jon has fished the Feather, Sacramento, and Yuba Rivers his entire life. Although the area offers a multitude of outdoor pursuits, fishing has always been Jon’s one true passion. The challenge of catching a majestic King Salmon or the study that goes into knowing where to find Striped Bass on dark spring morning is what truly keeps his heart pumping. Fishing alongside and being mentored by some of the best fishing outfitters in Northern California has been an honor and privilege that few are lucky enough to be able to claim. Jon was educated not just how to fish but how to respect the water and the people that fish it by local legends Aaron Zanocco and his late father, Jimmy Zanocco of River Guide Service, Raith Heryford of RH Guide Service, and Mick Thomas of Lunker Fish Trips.  These outfitters along with a number of other friends and sportsmen of the Sacramento Valley have fostered a love and appreciation of the sport and inspired Jon to carve out his own path.
